General Description: The Student Support Specialist provides customer service functions, enrollment and program support for NOVA Workforce. This position will be responsible to serve the students and NOVA Community at large in a timely manner.Duties and Tasks:Provide quality customer serviceIdentify and assess customerâs needs to achieve satisfactionHandle customer complaints and provide appropriate resolutions and alternativesPerform registration tasks and/or provide guidance to studentsEnter and maintain accurate data into the student information systemIssue enrollment confirmation emails and lettersTroubleshoot and resolve enrollment problemsEnsure that instructors have all instructional materials neededOrganize and maintain files and recordsAssist program developers/managers/coordinators to ensure logistical arrangements for programs are metProvide general office support tasksAssist with the marketing of classesPerform other related duties as requiredEssential Functions: Provides customer service, registers and provides guidance to students/community on the registration process, program requirements, and support the office with clerical duties.*This position is restricted and is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the College.
