Library environment As our new Assistant Librarian, you will engage with students, faculty, and staff from a variety of fields. While working in a team environment, you will help students find materials, offer instruction on information sources and research methods, and seek-out cutting-edge resources and educational opportunities for our campus community. The Assistant Librarian will also collaborate with other library staff and members of the Student Affairs team to serve the needs of our students and larger campus community.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about working with students and enjoys working in a team setting. As part of a small team, the Assistant Librarian will work with the Head Librarian across all areas of librarianship and assisting with the larger goals of the Student Affairs Department.

The successful candidate can come from a variety of experiences. We are looking for someone with the following abilities.
Detail orientation and high organizational skills
Proficient in various software such as Excel
Good customer service skills
Flexible and adaptable
Cataloguing experience (preferred)
Experience in an academic or special library
MLIS or experience working in libraries/similar educational settings
