Join our vibrant team at the Center for Entrepreneurship to help support our curricular offerings. You will manage administrative and program activities with a proactive and adaptable approach. While helping build academic offerings, you will also serve as the liaison for undergraduate-facing opportunities. We are seeking someone with a collaborative mindset who has multi-tasking prowess, demonstrates exceptional customer service and has experience in student support. These multifaceted responsibilities are integral to the seamless operation and growth of the CFE. You will report to the Director of Academic Programs, and work in concert with our Student Affairs Program Manager in serving both students and faculty.
The following responsibilities are performed individually and collaboratively within a team. They are conducted in trust, authenticity and integrity, and are inspired by curiosity, creativity, and fun.
Manage the course scheduling process each term. Coordinate course meeting patterns, classroom reservations and course evaluations in U-M's Curriculum Maintainer System.
Communicate course offerings in publications and schedules via U-M's Student Administration systems. Update the Registrar per their guidelines and deadlines.
Collect course petition/approval requests and track decisions as related to the university-wide Entrepreneurship Minor and ENTR Abroad. Prepare documents for CoE and E-Minor curriculum committees.
Manage curricular data collection. Produce ad hoc reports and contribute to annual reports. Coordinate an annual survey of entrepreneurial education.
Perform Outreach and Student Support
Manage the communication and engage in the strategic recruitment process for students enrollment, targeting our undergraduate audience. Collaborate with the CFE marketing and communications team to engage students and enhance enrollment strategies.
Represent the CFE at events. Present at information sessions. Prepare and deliver student-facing workshops. Plan and implement programs and events in collaboration with relevant student services staff.
Build relationships with students, their departments, and affiliated campus entities. Provide information about our elective course offerings and unique opportunities, available to students across the College and University.
With a focus on undergraduate students, meet with them to explore the CFE's elective course opportunities. Help students make connections between their U-M coursework and developing entrepreneurial mindset. Assist our students to ensure they are achieving academic and professional success.
Support the Center for Entrepreneurship
Recommend and implement data collection, programmatic and advising enhancements to increase efficiencies. Document processes.
Be back-up support for Graduate Certificate student services. Contribute to the Operational, Marketing, and Entrepreneurial Practice Teams on an intermittent basis.
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned that champion the CFE/College of Engineering/University of Michigan.
Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant administrative work experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Enthusiasm about working with a diverse student population on a one-on-one basis, and in small groups.
Commitment to providing an environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Previous experience with record-keeping and databases, and coordinating programs or events.
Previous experience with handling confidential issues.
This position will require working during non-business hours and on weekends to attend occasional events.
