The Associate Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life serves as part of a team supporting, advising and advocating for a community comprised of four governing councils, 30+ nationally affiliated chapters and colonies made up of approximately 1,500 total students (10% of undergraduates). Reporting to the Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life, this position will advise at least one governing council, meet regularly with chapter and council Presidents, and coordinate educational and leadership programs for the community. This position will assist with the administration and strategic planning of the community. The Associate Director will supervise two Coordinators of Fraternity and Sorority Life and will work towards creating a safer and stronger FSL student experience and a community with a commitment to excellence. This position will be the first point of contact for daily FSL office operations and lead all Risk Management, Recruitment, and New Member education efforts.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, or related field from an accredited institution required with 3 years of professional experience in FSL advising/leadership.
Demonstrated experience in Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) student organization support and advising including chapter and FSL council advising.
Knowledge and experience in program development and evaluation.
Experience utilizing assessment data to inform programming efforts.
Demonstrated success in developing programs for a diverse audience.
Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate students.
Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Master's degree and 5+ years direct experience working with fraternities and sororities.
Demonstrated understanding of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors, National
Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, National APIA Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council, National Panhellenic Conference, North American Interfraternity Conference, and/or other umbrella fraternal organizations.
Demonstrated skill and best practices in the area of risk reduction programs (Alcohol, gender- based violence, and hazing).
Experience working with student information databases/systems and spreadsheets; (Campus Labs, Banner, Campus Director, and/or Plaid as examples), familiarity with FERPA and CLERY Act compliance obligations.

The Campus Life department supports and gives direction to out-of-classroom learning. This is accomplished through the administration of the Fisher Student Center, University Union, Burney Center and Warwick Center and their programs and services, by providing guidance and resources to student leaders and organizations and serving as the campus' central point of reference regarding leadership development, student activities and organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and service learning and community engagement.
Campus Life also serves as the first point of contact for conference and event planning and assumes the space scheduling coordination function for all campus space (except for academic course scheduling) and works with campus space stewards in various departments throughout campus to ensure timely, coordinated service for all customers.
