Job Description:

• Recruit and counsel prospective students on the admissions policies and procedures for admission to Metro State University.
• Responsible for developing and managing annual recruitment plan for individual territory.
• Participate as Admissions representative on various institution-wide committees and teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience.
• Experience in college admissions, student services, recruiting, academic advising, sales, marketing, and/or related experience working with post-traditional students in an urban environment with diverse populations.
• Excellent speaking, writing and organizational skills and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel within the Twin Cities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree plus one year of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience.
• Experience with cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships.
• Demonstrated experience serving students, community members, partners, and organizations from marginalized communities (Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color). Bilingual in English and Spanish or Somali or Hmong a plus.
• Experience collaborating with post-traditional learners.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic multi-campus organization within a team-oriented environment.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills. The ability to work as a team member to achieve departmental goals and objectives is essential.
