Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Recruit and counsel prospective students on the admissions policies and procedures for admission to Metro State University.
Responsible for developing and managing annual recruitment plan for individual territory.
Participate as Admissions representative on various institution-wide committees and teams.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience.
Experience in college admissions, student services, recruiting, academic advising, sales, marketing, and/or related experience working with post-traditional students in an urban environment with diverse populations.
Excellent speaking, writing and organizational skills and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional nights and weekends.
Ability to travel within the Twin Cities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree plus one year of professional experience OR an equivalent combination of post-secondary training, education, and/or professional experience.
Experience with cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships.
Demonstrated experience serving students, community members, partners, and organizations from marginalized communities (Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color). Bilingual in English and Spanish or Somali or Hmong a plus.
Experience collaborating with post-traditional learners.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic multi-campus organization within a team-oriented environment.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills. The ability to work as a team member to achieve departmental goals and objectives is essential.

Physical Requirements of the Job: Requires occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
