Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a University Enrollment Services Technician (EST). The University Enrollment Services Technician (EST), under the direction of the University Enrollment Services Assistant Director, will have an integral role on the University Enrollment Services processing team.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Under administrative direction, performs clerical operations for enrollment services activities of Admissions, Financial Aid and Registrar.
Assists in all aspects of enrollment services from the prospective applicant stage to enrolled students. Researches and resolves diversified problems and provides responses to questions about applicant's applications, student registrations, transcript requests, academic records, financial aid recipients and changes.
Processes and/or verifies some applicant's admissions applications, student registrations, transcript requests, academic records, and changes.
Accesses information from a variety of sources residing on the university's administrative mainframe computer.
Prepares, tracks, and finalizes financial aid documents.
Composes draft correspondence and participates in general mailings, satellite operations, and general clerical work.
Provides guidance and assistance to others.
May act as group leader.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a high school/vocational school education or equivalent plus four years or any equivalent combination of: clerical or secretarial experience, advanced secretarial or business training, or college level study.
Experience must include two years financial aid and/or registration experience.
Two years of student services, student accounting or similar experience may be substituted.
Requires the ability to group lead.
Requires the ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats and working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, database software, and/or email.
