University Housing & Dining Services is seeking an Administrative Resident Director. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.
Resident Directors (RDs) are employees of Residential Education, a unit of University Housing & Dining Services (UHDS). The Resident Director plays an integral role in engaging students to enrich their lives to help residents thrive academically, personally, and socially, as well as find a connection to the institution. The Administrative Resident Director (Admin RD) participates in special projects and supports administrative needs for Residential Education and provides temporary coverage of residence halls during resident director vacancies. Supervised by a member of the Residential Education Leadership Team, the Admin RD is a 12-month, live-on professional responsible for the assigned tasks for the unit of Residential Education and for the overall management of one or more residence halls housing 200 – 700 students if an RD vacancy occurs. The Admin RD will serve in the regular on-call duty rotation and may advise an Area Council, and/ or serve as a chair of a Residential Education committee. The Admin RD supervises primarily undergraduate students in creating safe, educational, caring, and inclusive communities that promote a sense of belonging for all students.

Typically requires Master's Degree in College Student Services Administration, Education Administration, or closely related field OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum of two years of experience in Housing or Residential Life.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree with one year of professional experience working within university housing/residence OR a Master's degree in College Student Services, Educational Leadership, or related field
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and tasks
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience required to manage crisis response
Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
Prior conduct experience, including but not limited to the adjudication and sanctioning of cases
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in written form
Basic competence with technology (e.g., e-mail, word processing, social media websites, spreadsheets, and databases.
