Marist College invites applications for an Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement. The Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement provides direct assistance to over 600 students. The Center provides academic advising, academic support, student-athlete development, and study assistance. This position would provide academic support and student-athlete development.
Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years experience in student-athlete support. Valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to work effectively as a team player. Knowledge of NCAA rules and proficiency with various computer technologies required.
Collaborate with Director to provide academic support services for student athletes, including tutorial programs, study sessions, registration assistance, and referrals to campus services Participate in the monitoring of progress to graduation and NCAA eligibility of student athletes; communicate with head and assistant coaches regarding student progress and needs Coordinate and oversee nominations of student athletes for academic awards and honors Monitor career development opportunities for student athletes Coordinate the implementation of programming through the NCAA Leadership Development program Contribute to the development of programming for female student athletes Maintain knowledge and compliance with the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as now constituted or as may be amended in the future Ensure compliance of all direct reports and/or volunteers with the above referenced policies, rules and regulations Immediately advise the Director of Athletics or the Faculty Athletics Representative if there is reasonable cause to believe violations, whether by employees, volunteers, or students, have occurred or will occur Perform other job related duties as required Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree in education, counseling or related field is strongly preferred. Applicant should be knowledgeable about the needs of student athletes to succeed in the academic environment and have experience using Banner.

The mission of the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement is to provide academic advising, tutoring, life skills development and study facilities to the student-athlete population at Marist College. In addition, the office monitors the academic progress and NCAA eligibility of each student-athlete.
