Serving as an engaged member of the Engineering Student Services team, the College of Engineering Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for creating, implementing, and assessing College of Engineering recruitment strategy and providing regular updates to supervisor in COE along with the Admissions Leadership Team. Utilize recruitment strategies to effectively provide academic (engineering) counseling to prospective students and their parents. Responsible for presenting the benefits of engineering at Nebraska to prospective students and their families within assigned territory. This position will represent the College of Engineering alongside central admissions office staff at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events as well as on campus at events, daily visits, etc. This role will interact with students and families in person, over the phone, and via email, or approved SMS messaging. The COE Recruitment Coordinator may be responsible for additional projects connected to College of Engineering recruitment and will work collaboratively with the other COE recruitment coordinators in the college. Responsible for interpreting admission, financial aid, college and university policy to the general public. This position may require extensive travel depending upon the time of the year and recruitment funnel focus. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 6 months of experience in public speaking necessary. Proficiency with computer software to include word processing, database and spreadsheets essential. Must have high level of professionalism and commitment to teamwork. Must have demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Student Services, or related field. Experience working with diverse student populations. Campus involvement as an undergraduate helpful. Familiarity with High School and College Relations operations and procedures desirable. Knowledge of Nebraska and its challenges amongst under-represented populations helpful. Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide in Admissions, Housing, Orientation Leader, or an academic college preferred. Experience with STEM admissions or recruitment preferred.
