The Coordinator for Student Events facilitates the planning of student events, and is the point of contact for student group planning in the Event & Conference Services office. Event & Conference Services seeks candidates who are committed to working with diverse student populations on the bases of ability, age, gender identity, nationality, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc., and are dedicated to creating inclusive campus communities for students and staff.

UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role has a salary range starting at $49,000, commensurate with experience,and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.
Coordinates the scheduling and resource needs both internally and externally with various service providers, including catering, security, custodial and Facilities Management.
Assists student organizations who are planning large-scale events on campus with logistical support, financial requests from the Student Government Association, transaction processes supported by the Student Affairs Business Services Center and contract execution for internal and external performers.
Advocates for student event scheduling and resourcing
Communicates event info to partners and stakeholders
Facilitates weekly Safe and Fun Events (SAFE) meetings
Supports Campus Life programming
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree, preferably in Hospitality, Business Administration, Sport Management, Entertainment Management or a related field
