University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ('UEC') supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, full time 'non-exempt', benefited position through 6/30/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $3,500.00 per month
Location: Palm Desert
Program Summary: The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is a federal program funded by the U.S. Department of Education under the Office of Migrant Education. CAMP assists students who are migratory or seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers) enrolled in their first year of undergraduate studies at an institution of higher education. CSUSB CAMP offers students pre-college transition and first-year support services to help develop the skills needed to complete their first academic year, re-enroll into their second academic year, and subsequently, successfully graduate from CSUSB. The High School Equivalency Program (HEP) helps migratory and seasonal farmworkers (or children of such workers) who are 16 years of age or older and not currently enrolled in school to obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma and, subsequently, to gain employment or begin postsecondary education or training. Work Schedule
40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the CAMP/HEP Director, the Program Administrative Coordinator will work independently to:
Answer phones, route calls, and take messages;
Set appointments, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take and distribute meeting minutes and provide meeting support;
Coordinates the collection and submission of all time sheets, time and efforts;
Prepares all requests for disbursements including bank card authorizations, petty-cash, stipends, check requests, etc.
Submits, coordinates and tracks requests for space, parking, food-services, duplicating, mail services
Places, tracks, inventories and distributes supply orders;
Maintenance of the program database and program folders required for documentation,
Participates in planning, coordination, and execution of all grant activities
Prepares travel arrangements, travel advances and travel expense reports;
Some travel to schools and/or community sites required;
Screen, sort, and process external and internal correspondence;
Adheres to all federal, state and institutional policies;
Assists with the preparation of required reports;
Mails and distributes program flyers, applications, and notices for informational meetings
Assists with the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students into the program
Collects applications, eligibility documentation, and academic records of prospective students
Develops familiarity with federal legislation and regulations relevant to projects
Perform all other duties as assigned; Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: The equivalent of two years of experience in general office clerical work, preferably in a student services setting involving direct contact with diverse students and staff, is required.
Other: Applicants must possess highly effective oral and written communication skills; demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook); ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people, exercise sound judgment, determine priorities, complete assigned projects in a timely manner and work well under tight deadlines.
