ABOUT CAD (COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN): Creates 2-D engineering drawings using basic CAD concepts and industrial level software. Focuses on the principles and practices common to all CAD systems used in drafting. Develops skills with operating systems, computer terminology, and functions of hardware and peripheral components within a workstation environment and using proper drafting standards. Requires drawings using different techniques, drawing constructions and dimensioning. Two class hours, two lab hours.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver lectures on topics related to Computer-Aided Design.
Provide hands-on instruction in CAD software, ensuring students develop practical skills.
Provide timely feedback and grading on student assignments and exams.
Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum alignment and improvements.
Adhere to college policies, procedures, and standards.
Develop and implement curriculum, including lab exercises, projects, and assessments that will enhance the material being delivered.

Job Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Technical Education, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Associate's degree in CAD or related field with experience in the field will be considered.
Proven professional experience in the use of CAD software, preferably in an industrial or design setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students.
Preferred:
Previous teaching experience.

This position pays a rate of $800 per contact or credit hour.
