Web Announcement:

• Represent the University at visits and college fairs;
• Conduct outreach via multi-channel communication with prospective students and applicants;
• Review transfer applications and render admission decisions;
• Represent the university at on-campus and virtual recruitment events;
• Conduct information sessions, presentations, and one-on-one appointments in person and virtually for prospective students and families;
• Staff the Office of Transfer Services and fulfill counselor of the day functions to meet with prospective applicants and families;
• Collaborate with other team members across the University and within the Office of Admissions;
• Serve as a Mason representative for student appointments on community college campuses;
• Support ADVANCE Mason Virginia Promise (MVP) expansion via visits to community colleges in Virginia;
• Assist in the processing of MVP declarations and matriculation;
• Provide excellent customer service; and
• Overnight recruitment travel and occasional evening and weekend work is required.

• Demonstrated cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills, including public speaking skills, and the ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations;
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively;
• Availability for evening and weekend work;
• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a hectic, deadline-driven environment, often working on multiple tasks concurrently;
• Information technology literacy and willingness to learn new software applications;
• Proven ability to work positively as a team member;
• Comfortable and able to make independent decisions;
• Demonstrated customer service experience; and
• Must currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator's license that meets all of GMU's requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason's Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/. The Office of Risk Management reserves the right to review the driver's licenses and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) of all candidates selected with employment contingent upon a favorable review.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Bilingual;
• Demonstrated recruitment experience;
• Previous experience with Ellucian Banner software; and
• Previous experience with Salesforce CRM.
