We are seeking a Functional Director to join the Student Information Systems project organization, responsible for supervising functional resources assigned to the Campus Solutions implementation project. In late 2024 when the SIS Renewal Program is complete, this position will transition to Enrollment and Student Administration. The Student Information System (SIS) Renewal program is a Boston University-wide effort to modernize the Information Technology systems to better serve our students and support the university's strategic priorities, while mitigating the technical risk our current, custom-developed, mainframe-based Student Information System (SIS). Implementation activities will occur through June 2024 and will continue to add functionality to support: Financial Aid, Student Records, Academic Advising, and Student Financials. Related changes to the process and tools for creating student BUID's and system access, as well as academic reporting and data analytics will also be included.
What the position responsibilities are:
Directing project resources in developing documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including test scripts, training materials and other project artifacts.
Work with other project workstreams (such as Data Conversion, Integrations, Change Management, Business Architecture) and companion projects (Reporting, Student Employment, Identity & Access Management) to ensure cross-functional collaboration across the SIS Renewal program.
