This position participates as a member of the CHS Leadership Team, advising on technical and operational management of WSU's electronic medical record (EMR), working closely with internal stakeholders such as SA division IT (ASIS) staff, other departments in the WSU system who use the EMR, and as a representative to external stakeholders, including the vendors and suppliers who provide support and development for the EMR. Collaborates with internal and external partners to create positive outcomes for students in a way that reflects our commitment to promoting an atmosphere of inclusion, diversity, access, and equity.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications as necessary and able to apply knowledge to assist in improving existing healthcare systems.
Demonstrated project development skills and ability to analyze and assess EMR.
Experience with desktop applications such as word processing; spreadsheets, databases, and process flow design is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
High level of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); experience should include application maintenance, set-up, and troubleshooting providing direct support.
Experience in Health Informatics or closely related field.
Experience using Point and Click software or other EHR systems in an ambulatory care setting.
Experience managing HL-7 interfaces.
Experience working with EMR peripherals including set-up such as ECG.
