Job Description:
This position can be located on any Minnesota West campus, including the Luverne Center.
The Health Careers Navigator supports students and program success by recruiting students into the Nursing and Allied Health programs and supporting their successful transition into certificate, diploma, and degree pathways within the college. The navigator provides student support, guidance, academic progress review and develops recruitment and retention efforts for new and continuing students through their program of study. Additionally, works with industry contacts creating awareness and recruiting events. The incumbent takes a lead role in prospect development and communication and works closely with the Director of Enrollment and Nursing/Allied Health Dean's and faculty.
JOBDUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
Develop strategic plan for Nursing and Allied Health recruitment activities in collaboration with marketing, student services, admissions, registration, and faculty. Implement the college recruiting activities as outlined in the college's enrollment management plan.
Student navigator who assists students in developing career and education plans with Nursing and Allied Health students and advisors.
Assist in the management of prospect and applicant communication flows through the use of the communications module. Assist with the development and update of communication flow pieces in cooperation with Marketing and other college departments, faculty and staff.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary diploma/degree.
Two years' experience in related fields such as sales, marketing, student services or health care.
Ability to assimilate a wide variety of information, summarize and present in multiple formats to diverse audiences.
Ability to travel with a valid driver's license.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to the value of diversity.
Strong working relationships with a variety of external and internal constituencies in which the incumbent represents the college.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, student services or health care.
Experience working in a two-year community and technical college setting.
Highly motivated and experienced in time management to include handling a variety of assignments simultaneously.
