Title: Administration Assistant I- Accessibility and Title IX

General Summary: Under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean of Accessibility and Title IX Coordinator- assist with the administration of the areas directly managed by the Assistant Dean of Accessibility and Title IX Coordinator and those conducted by other student affairs services that the Assistant Dean supports in their office suite.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in ensuring that administrative operations of the Department meet all Federal, State, local, and college rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Greet and receive all visitors, including college staff, students, and the community, and assist with scheduling appointments.
Prepare all purchasing vendor contracts according to RCC's Internal Controls Manual and all applicable guidelines.
Assist Student Accessibility Services, KEE program, and Assistant Dean with electronically filing and preparing documents for printing.
Assist with submitting room requests and supporting event preparation for programs under the Assistant Dean for Accessibility and Title IX Coordinator.
Participate in RCC Governance Acuerdo Assembly and Committee.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, office administration, business administration, or business management, the major duties of which included one or more of the following functions: purchasing, personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, work simplification, grants management, contract administration or program management, (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management, or public administration may be substituted for the required experience. *
II. An Associate's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management, or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience. *
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
Knowledge of database management
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint to Skills/Expert/Training.
Ability to work independently
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage large projects and work as a member of a team
Ability to recognize college-wide and divisional priorities and work cooperatively towards their accomplishment.
Experience with diversity, equity & inclusion(DEI) work and/or understanding of individuals of diverse identities such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, and veterans including those with different levels of academic preparation, and varying physical and learning abilities.

Salary Range: $47,338.98 is the starting salary for an AFSCME grade 15 position at Step 1. This a full time 37.5 hours position with full benefits.
