Under general supervision, perform administrative duties for College for Public Health & Social Justice and Public Health academic programs, including student support, compiling information and analyzing data, updating databases and other documentation, preparing correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master of Public Health program:
Prepare and process confidential correspondence (reports, agendas, meeting minutes, and general registrar forms);
Compose and type routine correspondence, memos, letters, reports, etc.
Maintain program calendar; send meeting notifications as necessary.
Enter program data (course schedule, academic catalog revisions, and faculty advisor assignments) into university systems such as CourseLeaf and Internet Native Banner, as needed.
Correspond with students for registration and process registration overrides, as needed.
Gather and maintain course syllabi; update program tracking databases; and assist with general program improvement initiatives.
Applied Practice Experience in Public Health (APEx):
Update and post training/employment opportunities for MPH newsletter and Canvas weekly
Send regular student reminders for upcoming assignments and notifications of upcoming events
Public Health in Context:
Assist with program administration including preparing and distributing announcements/communication, matching students to opportunities, tracking opportunities at host organizations, tracking student completion of the program, and coordination of course activity in Canvas.
Interface with functional areas across the college and university, including admissions, recruitment, and programmatic leadership.
Serve as liaison to students and mentors participating in the program by answering questions and supporting issue resolution.
Public Health Event Planning:
Regularly coordinate activities and events including student services events, professional development series events, and commencement activities.
Make, confirm, and process travel arrangements and expense reports.
Order catering, marketing materials and office supplies as requested.
Other Administrative:
Maintain electronic and standard file system.
Develop and organize procedure manuals.
Update classroom room assignments in university platform 25Live, as requested
Schedule student appointments.
May supervise student workers; work collaboratively with coworkers.
Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma; associates or bachelors degree preferred

Remote/In-person Expectations:
This position will require the individual to work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely one or two days per week upon completion of initial onsite training and familiarizing with department work and operations in compliance with the requirements of the SLU Remote Staff Flexible Work Policy.
