Southwest Virginia Community College (SWCC) offers career-training programs in numerous technical, industrial and medical fields at a reasonable cost, going so far as to even waive tuition for certain eligible students. Located in Richlands, Virginia, Southwest offers associateâ™s degrees in such fields as business, education, general studies, liberal arts and science. These degrees are primarily intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. Southwest also has associateâ™s degrees that feature programs intended to lead directly to a career in fields such as Nursing, Radiography and Administration of Justice.Southwest Virginia Community College is seeking a motivated and self-directed individual for the position of Administrative Assistant to support the offices of Admissions, Records, and Disability Services. This part-time position will provide excellent customer service to students and prospective students and provide support with the application and enrollment processes. This Administrative Assistant will also assist faculty and staff who have questions related to the admissions and enrollment processes. Duties will also include processing program changes and dual enrollment registrations. This role will work also closely with the Director of Disabilities with regard to scheduling student appointments, administering course testing with approved test accommodations such as proctored testing and read-aloud services.
