Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Affairs to support the Department of Occupational Therapy (OT) and Department of Physical Therapy (PT). The Assistant Director of Student Affairs functions within a hybrid team of OT and PT faculty and staff. This position provides support to the Department Chairs of OT and PT departments, Directors of Student Affairs (DSA), faculty and students in all matters related to student and alumni management. Primary responsibilities include: managing entry (orientation), exit (graduation) and post-graduate (licensure) processes for DPT and OTD students; collecting, maintaining, and reporting student records, and ensuring that records compliance and confidentiality, as well as accuracy are maintained in all administrative processes; serving as liaison between both OT,PT students and the student services provided at the Waco campus; and managing online communication channels with students and alumni, to include social media, email, and learning management systems. The Assistant Director of Student Affairs is responsible for managing a variety of documents, databases, and reports for the DPT and OTD Programs.
A Bachelor's degree, three years of relevant work experience and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.
Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

What You Will Do
Monitors and maintains the Occupational and Physical Therapy Department student and faculty information portals using the Web Content Management System. Coordinates with Baylor ITS for revisions that require advanced editing skills. Schedules posts/updates on all official Program social media sites.
Serves as primary program liaison with the Registrar, Financial Aid, and other student service departments. Coordinates with appropriate student service representatives to identify and resolve student issues in a timely manner.
Maintains and coordinates updates for the OT and PT Student Handbook and other key documents.
Coordinates state licensure requirements with the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and individual state licensure boards. Prepares and submits required documentation for graduate licensure examinations. Ensures the program adheres to all state licensure requirements for graduating students.
Collects and tracks program accreditation outcomes related to graduation rates, licensure pass rates, and employment rates. Administers mandatory post-graduation surveys to alumni, employers, and patients to identify program strengths and areas for improvements. Contributes data and input into the Program Assessment process.
Leads in planning and conducting OT and PT departmental functions to include, but not limited to, student orientation activities, commencement and graduation activities, distinguished lecture visits, and interprofessional community activities.
Develops and manages an Alumni Association for the OT and PT departments. Coordinates communication with and activities for the alumni association to ensure these stakeholders maintain an active role in the program.
Oversees the training of OT/PT Student Affairs Program Manager and delegates appropriate duties as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.

Secondary Functions 1. Attend OT and PT Department faculty and staff meetings as appropriate. 2. Participate in OT and PT Department community service projects as time permits. 3. Assists with exam proctoring during lab immersions. 4. Perform other duties as assigned by the OT or PT Directors of Administrative Affairs.
