Associate degree in a computer or information technology field
Occupational Experience Requirement:
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in networking, network administration, cybersecurity, or forensics.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS or comparable computer-related field
Teaching knowledge of computer networking, including Microsoft &/or Linux server development, administration & management
Teaching knowledge of installation, configuration & management of network equipment such as Cisco equipment, firewalls, IDPS, & wireless networking technologies
Teaching knowledge of information security, virtualization technologies, cloud services
Certifications in A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, CASP, CISSP
Experience teaching, especially with multicultural and nontraditional students
Experience teaching or training in a two-year college or technical college setting
Excellent organizational & human relations skills
Willingness to participate in activities supporting a culture of continuous improvement in all collegiate areas
Experience teaching or reinforcing teamwork & career preparation skills within technology-focused environments
Must be in good standing with Minneapolis College

Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. MCTC enrolls nearly 15,000 credit students annually and is an active partner in initiatives designed to strengthen the social, economic and cultural vitality of the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
