Coordinator for Student Engagement and Success Finance
Job Summary Support the enrollment, retention, and engagement of Master of Science in Finance (MSF) students. This includes a focus on student engagement and student records support. Duties & Responsibilities
Support MSF students throughout the student lifecycle, from prospective student to alum.
Serve as a point of contact for student questions regarding admissions, deadlines, forms, petitions, and general advising.
Assist with student records support including admissions materials and degree audits.
Assist with on-boarding and orientation for incoming students.
Assist with event planning throughout the year, including social events, workshops, panels, field trips, and graduation activities.
Coordinate with International Student Scholar Services (ISSS) regarding registration requirements and work authorization (CPT and OPT).
Assist with updating and maintaining information resources for MSF students (handbooks, websites, Gies Groups, MS Teams, LinkedIn).
Coordinate and provide referrals to appropriate college and campus contacts and resources to meet academic and other needs of students. These resources may include but are not limited to the Graduate College, Gies College of Business faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as other campus entities such as DRES, OFSA, and Counseling Center.
Other Duties to Support Students
Serve on committees as assigned.
Build partnerships and collaborate with other units on campus and engage in other relevant duties as assigned to enhance and support student engagement
Minimal evening and weekend work required
Student Engagement Administration
Perform other duties as assigned (including service on campus committees) to advance the unit, department, and division.
Additional Physical Demands Some nights and weekend work may be required. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
One (1) year of work experience in advising, student services, or a related area in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of experience advising and/or providing services and activities to graduate students.
Familiarity with University of Illinois policies and procedures related to students.
Experience working with international students and/or students in STEM degrees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 11/6/23. Salary is commensurate with experience.
