Requirements
The Admissions Recruiter at Georgetown University in Qatar is a dynamic and integral member of the admissions team responsible for promoting the university's academic programs and fostering relationships with prospective students, their families, and school administrators.
This role is reporting to the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Strategic Enrollment Management and plays a crucial part in attracting a diverse and qualified student body to the university's Qatar campus. The Admissions Recruiter will engage in extensive travel, both locally and internationally, to connect, engage and establish/build relationships with potential students and stakeholders.
This is a three-month temporary position.
As this position is based in Doha, Qatar and offers no relocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally based candidates only. This is a non-sponsored position that requires all applicants to already have the necessary sponsorship to live and work in Qatar.
Key Accountabilities
Attract a diverse and qualified student body to the university's Qatar campus.
Promote the university's academic programs and foster relationships with prospective students, their families and school administrators.
Key activities
Represent Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) and coordinate visits and presentations at high schools, college fairs, community events and other relevant venues.
Build and nurture relationships with prospective students, families and school counselors and provide them with comprehensive information about the university's programs, admission requirements and campus life.
Conduct informative and inspiring presentations to highlight the unique features and benefits of GU-Q.
Travel extensively to various regions to identify and engage potential students, attending recruitment events and building rapport with local educational institutions.
Plan and execute recruitment initiatives, including information sessions, workshops and one-on-one meetings with prospective students.
Collaborate with the admissions team to develop strategic travel plans to maximize recruitment efforts.
Guide and advise prospective students on the application process and assist with timely collection and verification of documents.
Review applications and provide feedback to help applicants present their strongest possible candidacy.
Cultivate strong relationships with high school counselors, teachers and administrators to enhance GU-Q's visibility and reputation within the educational community.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospective students.
Provide regular reports and updates on recruitment activities, outcomes and trends to the admissions leadership team.

Ability to write in the style, tone, and 'voice' on behalf of leadership.
Ability to remain calm under pressure when handling crisis/issue communication.
Ability to transform complex ideas into compelling content.
In-depth knowledge of various citation styles (APA, MLA and Chicago).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Experience
2+ years of experience, preferably in admissions, recruitment, student affairs or a related field.
