Description: Pratt Institutes Student Financial Services is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst (ARA). The ARA will monitor and manage the Student Account Payable function under the scope of the Associate Director. This includes identifying, auditing, and processing student credit balances generated from Title IV Aid, Institutional Aid, Domestic and/or International online or in-house payments, third-party agency payments, and payment plan payments in accordance with Federal, State, and Organizational policies.
Assist with the accurate and timely processing, and posting of funds to student accounts; and performs the reconciliation necessary for all, but not limited to: credit card payments, both paper checks and e-checks, student payment plan payments, vouchers, third party payments, wire payments, Fly Wire, student tuition and residential deposits, outside collection agencies and late fees as per institutional policy and procedures. Open, review and process incoming mail from the mail center.
Administrative Duties:

Maintain detailed refund records and compliance information as needed. Liaison between the Controller Office, Registrar, & Residential Life to ensure student refunds are processed timely. Perform frequent reconciliations of issued refunds to minimize the Institute's risk exposure. Monitor and manage student stop payment/ Escheatment check process.

During peak times assist SFS Counselors in servicing students by identifying and correcting billing issues and irregularities, inaccurate posting of payments, financial aid awards, and student refunds. Perform office administrative functions such as ordering departmental office supplies via ESM.

Qualifications: Education:
Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
One (1) to Three (3) years minimum experience working within a higher education student account office and/or business office (i.e. accounts payable) preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of Ellucian Colleague or other student information systems.
Superior attention to detail and advanced electronic reconciliation skills using excel spreadsheets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A professional and resourceful approach; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Strong organizational and problem resolution skills.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $50,100-$53,400. The position will be hybrid and requires in-person presence 3 days per week.
