Position Summary: Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Outreach and care Coordinator position in the Counseling Center within the division of Student Experience and the subdivision of Student Development and Engagement. This position will be funded by the GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant administered by SAMSHA through September 2025. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating a comprehensive public health, evidenced-based outreach program that will help to identify students who are at risk for suicide, increase protective factors that promote mental health, reduce risk factors for suicide, and educate the campus community to recognize the signs of distress and to intervene appropriately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Serve as a project lead in meeting the deliverables of the SAMHSA GLS Campus Suicide Prevention Grant by coordinating the day-to-day activities of the project and associated data collection and reporting requirements
2. Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders to formulate a network infrastructure for clinical referrals and professional collaborations
3. Formulate and maintain a comprehensive, coordinated, and intentional campus mental health/suicide prevention outreach and education program for students, faculty, and staff, including Kognito At-Risk gatekeeper training, ULifeLine screenings, QPR training, etc.
4. Coordinate the campus-wide Healthy Minds Survey and the Jed Campus program
5. Assist with updating the Counseling Center's and Behavior Intervention Team's (BIT) policies, procedures, outcome measurements, and crisis plans using information and data gleaned from the Jed Campus partnership and the Healthy Minds Survey
6. Collaborate with the Well-being Director and key university departments to coordinate training, outreach, and programming related to the psychological dimension of well-being
7. Provide culturally informed, comprehensive, and timely follow-up and ongoing case management to students, including following up with BIT referrals; coordinating off-campus referrals by working with insurance companies and off-campus providers; providing warm referrals and connections on and off campus; coordinating psychiatric hospitalization and providing follow-up and support post-hospitalization; providing follow-up and support for students leaving for and returning from mental health leaves
8. Consult with faculty, staff, and administrators regarding student mental health concerns, needs, and programming
9. Assist with the advising of Gannon's chapter of the student organization, Active Minds.
10. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the job
11. This position will report to the Project Director and the Counseling Center Director, who serves as the Clinical Director for the grant. We offer flexible work hours for eligible positions and a generous benefits package for full-time employees.

Required Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in Social Work, Public Health, Counseling/Psychology, Education, Occupational Therapy, or a related degree is required.
Experience: 1-2 years experience in public health, mental/behavioral health, education, or healthcare required.
