Mildred Elley, a private multi campus institution, is seeking a Part timeVeterinary Technology Instructor to teach at its Albany, NY campus. The faculty and staff of Mildred Elley have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, focusing on academic improvements, student service improvements, and accreditation and compliance improvements.
The Veterinary Technology Instructor (DVM) will teach a variety of veterinary technology courses offered in all three academic terms (Spring, Summer, Fall). The applicant must demonstrate the skills and knowledge to teach and supervise students in didactic (lecture) and lab/clinical instructional settings. The applicant must have experience working with different animal species and must exhibit a supportive attitude towards teaching students and be a positive and professional role model.
DVM/VMD degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Active DVM license in the state of New York.
Minimum of five years (full-time) experience in a veterinary clinical setting working as a DVM.
Minimum two years’ experience in Veterinary Technology education or supervision and evaluation of students in practicum/externship setting in clinical practice.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule to satisfy the needs of the Vet Tech program.
Occasional travel to various Off-Site Clinical Instruction sites as needed.
Maintain DEA license (if applicable).
$1050 - $1250 per credit hour based on experience.
