POSITION DETAILS
New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering 60 associate and baccalaureate degrees, invites applications for a Manager of Student Advocacy and Accountability.
Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, the Manager of Student Advocacy and Accountability will, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview:
Develop and implement administrative procedures, systems and practices related to student rights and responsibilities including student conduct/disciplinary procedures, BIT behavioral intervention and support, and resolution of grievances, appeals, and complaints.
Create and maintain collaborative and productive partnerships across Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Public Safety, administrative systems and services, and shared governance bodies in order to integrate institutional effectiveness and planning efforts for holistic and effective conduct and complaint support.
Facilitate cross-functional work related to student behavior intervention, disciplinary procedures, threat assessment, BIT/student support case management, freedom of expression oversight, and grievance and appeals resolution.
Serve as chairperson of the Behavioral Intervention Team.
Liaise closely with leaders in Public Safety regarding general campus safety and the climate/Clery Act, and with the Office of Equity and Inclusion on Title IX, discrimination, and harassment complaints.
Provide guidance to students on a variety of issues including student conduct matters, some financial aid appeals other general student issues
Maintain Student Affairs Complaint Procedures pertaining to complaints against other students, faculty and staff or other campus stakeholders.
Coordinate and implement Title IV appeals processes
Supervise the full-time Title IV Administrator in the review and implementation of the SAP process, including the monitoring of compliance with Federal regulations.
Ensure culturally responsive and inclusive operations that center historically underserved and marginalized communities; accountable for flexible service delivery modalities that support access and equitable student outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years related experience required.

Evaluates student needs and trends to develop a range of student services
Develops and administers specific programs and general activities in support of student needs

Represents the College in campus-wide and university-wide groups and councils focusing on priority student issues
Manages staff, fiscal resources, and facilities supporting student affairs activities
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range: $86,645 - $104,057. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
