Position Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President - Enrollment, in conjunction with the Senior Director of Enrollment Management, Registrar, and Enrollment Management Business Analyst, the Operations Business Analyst will support on-going operations, evaluate business processes, and recommend improvements.
The Operations Business Analyst will support a comprehensive enrollment management operation and a variety of workflows to optimize efficiency. The incumbent will participate in the design, planning, and implementation of enhancements to complex projects and support continuous process improvements. The Operations Business Analyst will provide consultation and facilitate the analysis and definition of business rules, service levels, and user requirements, and work cross-functionally to solve problems, improve interfaces, and implement changes.
This position will provide support to functional units within Enrollment Management through the coordination and monitoring of operational processes, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions SIS configuration. The Operations Business Analyst will also support integrations between the SIS and other enterprise systems, including the uAchieve degree audit system, Slate CRM and the OnBase imaging/workflow system.
This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego.
Department Summary
Enrollment Services comprises Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Prospective Student Services, Out of State, Specialized and International Recruitment, and Enrollment Services Communications. Enrollment Services implements SDSU enrollment management policies and provides services to students from their initial point of interest in SDSU to their graduation.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Key Qualifications
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is preferred.
Previous experience working in a college or university division supporting admissions or registration and records management is preferred.
Familiarity with CSU and SDSU academic policies is preferred.
Experience in the business analysis of process improvement, application development, or project management in higher education or other regulated industries.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL.
Goal-oriented with strong initiative, imagination, and organizational qualities.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to analyze complex problems.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,167 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,581 - $6,791 per month.
