OVPUE Data Analyst
About the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) coordinates and oversees broad areas of undergraduate education relevant to all nine undergraduate schools and colleges. Members of the office collaborate closely with the schools and colleges and other units across the University to promote academic success for all undergraduate students and to cultivate intellectual inquiry, both in and out of the classroom.
The Opportunity
In support of the areas described above - including a dynamic portfolio of cross-college academic and student experience initiatives - and reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the OVPUE Data Analyst will work closely with the CSEI Product Manager to support data-informed academic advising practices and decision making by: producing student engagement data reports for OVPUE, and others by request; collaborating with CIT to develop CRM analytics dashboards; conducting reporting and dashboard trainings to colleges/units, serving as a data and reports consultant to colleges/units; leading 20-member CSEI Reporting Group, developing and documenting reporting best practices in collaboration with CIT and the CSEI Product Manager; identifying and responding to data and reporting needs for current CSEI projects and new initiatives; collaborating with Institutional Research and Planning, Cornell Information Technologies, Office of the University Registrar, OVPUE leadership team colleagues, and other campus partners.
Serve the reporting needs of various OVPUE initiatives and projects as requested by the Vice Provost. Additional focus area will be to serve the reporting needs of the Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC), a central student services unit that facilitates strong connections with the academic and career advising community across the colleges, schools, and units. The HPAC team works in close partnership with the individual college advising offices, offers professional advisement and support to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on the Ithaca campus, as well as to recent alumni interested in exploring and pursuing careers broadly in the health professions. HPAC's goal is to help Cornell students and alumni find their unique niche as part of the health-related workforce that increasingly reflects the needs and diversity of our society.
This position is located in Ithaca, New York and will provide hybrid work flexibility.
