The Career Navigator engages with eligible participants interested in exploring a technology career at Minneapolis College. This individual will provide comprehensive career development service/programming for technology students pursuing a career who are: clarifying their career interests, gaining career exposure, preparing for careers, and transitioning into employment associated with the technology industry.
This person works closely with the Career Services department in advancing short and long-term goals and manages a caseload of external partnerships for technology majors.
Position may be eligible for telework per the Minneapolis College's Telework Guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
A combination of education and experience necessary to perform the functions of the position in areas related to higher education, student affairs, career advising and/or development.
Experience with building strong relationships by seeking out, establishing, and nurturing new industry partnerships.
Knowledge of conveying career development and labor market information in individual and group settings
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organize time and diverse tasks, to conduct meeting, to follow up on tasks and projects.
Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to identify and clarify problems or issues, to prepare and execute possible solutions under the direction of a supervisor.
Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.

Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
