The Health Services team attends to the health and wellness needs of the students on campus and is a division of Student Affairs that assists students with support services for college success. Our medical team consists of board-certified nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and medical support staff.

Position Duties:

• Provide direct primary healthcare, including women's health services and urgent care to Pratt Institute students with an emphasis on health and wellness promotion.
• Advise and educate patients concerning the prevention of disease, risk factor reduction, and other dimensions of wellness
• Experience providing telehealth services
• Conduct focused health history and performs physical examinations as indicated by the patient's reason for the visit.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Formulates medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Identify and manage common health problems, both acute and chronic in accordance with approved NP guidelines.
• Prescribe a variety of modalities to treat illness and meet wellness needs including, but not limited to medications, nutrition, exercise, self-care instruction, and traditional nursing treatment.
• Work collaboratively with health service staff in planning ongoing care and making referrals to other disciplines as indicated.
• Evaluate and document patients' responses to the plan of care in the electronic health record.
• Provide follow-up treatment and /or referral as necessary.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of nurse practitioner practice guidelines and development of standards, patient care policies, and clinical procedures and audit peer practice to assure overall quality of patient care.

SALARY is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $130k. The position will be onsite 5 days/wk, and can eventually evolve to hybrid for telehealth visits.

Qualifications:
Education:

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licenses as a New York RN And APRN License with prescriptive privileges
• ANCC/AANP Board Certification as Adult Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner
• Current DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) License.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience post-graduate work experience providing direct clinical services

Knowledge: Knowledge of current health, mental health, alcohol, and other drugs, and social issues affecting young adults
