This individual is serves as the primary success coach for ERIE21 Lock 4, and will develop impactful coaching relationships with adult students and job seekers. With the ultimate goal of providing personalized, intentional success coaching to our adult student population, the Workforce Success Coach will work alongside students to help them determine personal goals, develop individualized success plans and implement strategies that promote success. The Workforce Success Coach is an integral part of the ERIE21 team and will collaborate with team members to deliver a robust program for adult students who are unemployed, underemployed or displaced from the workforce, and whom are interested in cybersecurity, web programming, computer science, technology and related fields.
This position is funded by external sources and is contingent on the continued receival of those funds.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
Advising, Mentoring & Student Support
Meet regularly with and hold office hours for students in ERIE21 Lock 4 programs
Provide mentoring and coaching for adult students to develop and accomplish their personal, academic & professional goals
Design, implement & document standard operating procedures for workforce success coaching for adults who are unemployed, underemployed or misplaced from the workforce
Serve as primary liaison to CNY Works and additional community organizations to ensure Lock 4 candidates are prepared to be hired with local employers upon completion of their respective programs
Assist students in processes related to their particular program including, but not limited to admission, enrollment, academic enrichment, career navigation and other related areas as needed
Refer students to appropriate internal and community-based programs and support services as needed
Stay up-to-date on best practices in workforce development, with a focus on mentoring, success- and job coaching
Serve as the Lock 4 liaison to the College’s academic and student services departments including, but not limited to, the Registrar, Enrollment Operations, Health Services, the Library, Campus Safety, Academic Affairs, Information Technology, Quantitative Reasoning Center, Student Success Center & other offices as needed to support Lock 4 students
Partner with the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Creativity at Le Moyne College to support Lock 4 students with an interest in entrepreneurship
Management & Operations
Lead campus and community partners in the design and implement on-the-job training opportunities for Lock 4 students
Lead a monthly meeting with ERIE21 success team, including members of Locks 1, 2 & 3, to discuss student success programs, initiatives, and best practices, with the goal of making connections across each Lock of ERIE21
Maintain accurate, organized and detailed records and summaries/reports
Provide updates on student success, achievement & challenges on at least a monthly basis or as requested by Director, Assistant Director or instructors
Represent ERIE21 at Divisional, Advisory Board, Leadership Team and Board of Trustees meetings as requested by the Director
Promote ERIE21 to various constituencies
Attend Le Moyne College activities and events to interact with College students, faculty and staff
Respond to inquiries from ERIE21 students, families, faculty, and other college personnel
Promote the ERIE21 resources and achievements to internal and external audiences
Participate in and provide support for college committees, campus-wide programs, admissions events, and professional development opportunities
Support the Student Engagement Specialist and Academic Services Coordinator as needed
Perform other ERIE21 duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business, communication, human resources, social sciences or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
At least 1-3 years of work experience
Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of industry, community and campus constituencies
Demonstrated effective experience and skill in working with students from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional experience in workforce development or related sector
Knowledge of local, state and federal support services to refer students to appropriate community resources (i.e. transportation, financial assistance, child care)
Experience with career advising and/or workforce development for individuals from diverse backgrounds
Familiarity with the role of advisor and mentor to non-traditional age college students
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written skills
Willingness to work flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work
Experience with Microsoft Office, Course Management Software (e.g. Canvas) & social media platforms
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
