DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) leads UC Santa Cruz in providing educational equity and a welcoming environment for students with disabilities. The DRC identifies legally mandated accommodations that address barriers related to disabilities and works with faculty and staff to provide support to students with disability exam accommodations. The DRC educates campus professional staff, student staff, and faculty on disability diversity and equal educational access. The team ensures compliance with State, Federal, and local laws and ensures compliance with UC policies.

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) DRC Exam Services Coordinator, the DRC Exam Support Specialist works in the DRC Testing Center coordinating student exam accommodations in the Center and supervising the student exam assistants. Using knowledge and skills as a qualified, experienced professional in the disabilities field or related field, the incumbent coordinates a wide range of exam accommodations on a case-by-case basis for students with disabilities. For complex issues, the DRC Exam Support Specialist will consult with the DRC Exam Services Coordinator and or the student's Service Coordinator within the Disability Resource Center (DRC). The provision of exam accommodations can impact University compliance and liability under federal and state disability law and regulations and University Policy.
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
Budgeted Salary: $73,850 - $85,900 / Annually. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
Under California law, the University of California, Santa Cruz is required to post a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The salary shown above is the budgeted amount the University reasonably expects to pay and the salary extended should not exceed this posted amount.
