Sierra Instructor and Residential Assessment Coordinator
Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Residential Learning, the incumbent will teach and update the curriculum for the Sierra Program (Community in a Diverse Society) Student Housing’s Living Learning Community for almost 50 years. This program consists of a residence hall of 55 students and a four-credit class each quarter (Social Ecology 74 A/B/C) which leads students progressively deeper in exploring their values through the lens of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. This course series includes learning theories and research such as Moral Development, Psychosocial Development, and Critical Thinking through contemporary issues like Environmental Justice, Immigration, Race/Ethnicity/Culture, and Socioeconomic Status.
