Position Summary
The college coordinator is central in fostering an inclusive environment in the residential college system. This person performs general office duties in providing support for the college magisters in the day-to-day operation of the college and serves as the college's point of contact for various university departments and offices. The college coordinator reports to the college magisters, with a secondary level of reporting to the executive division administrator. This person also works closely with approximately 350-400 students and their parents.
Duties include but are not limited to: advising students on policies, procedures, and academic deadlines, providing forms to students for various academic and housing matters, and collecting fees from students for various activities. This position handles student issues, providing support for students in crisis and directs them to the appropriate University resources. This person also provides event and financial reporting and support.
This position is fully in person with the possibility of flexible remote options in the summer.
The expected hiring range is between $40,000 and $45,000 annually, contingent upon qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- May substitute additional related experience, above and beyond what is required, on an equivalent year for year basis in lieu of the education requirement

Essential Functions
- Reviews and administers student records, analyzes data, and makes recommendations that require interpretation and influences decisions on routine issues
- Collaborates with other staff, faculty and other offices to resolve complex issues
- Contributes to developing and analyzing review process of offerings, policies and programs
- Collects and analyzes data from multiple sources, prepares reports
- Contributes to development of marketing materials and strategies, assists in planning and developing programming activities, outreach functions, events, and fundraising
- Provides advice to students on a range of issues in order to assist them in making appropriate choices and decisions and directs them to the appropriate University resources.
- Serves as a subject matter resource to other departments; represents the college
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Additional Functions
- Implements, administers and evaluates day-to-day business and administrative activities of the college
- Assists in managing unit budgets and monitors and approves expenditures including iO line manager for student accounts and delegate for magister expenses
- Plans and implements outreach activities that may include communications, events, and fundraising
- Oversee housing process at the college in collaboration with student leadership and Housing and Dining
- Equip student leaders to nurture independence in the experiential learning environment
- Assist the college magisters with crisis management due to student wellbeing, inclement weather, college functions, etc.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year or more in related student services or administrative office experience
- Experience working with college students
- Rice experience
- Knowledge of a university setting and the terminology associated within
- Knowledge of FERPA and Title IX
- Experience with Banner, Google Docs, BOX, Adobe Sign, Oracle Systems
