The Director of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the institutional effectiveness efforts for academic and administrative units at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.This position will work closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Decision Support to manage regional and specialized accreditation activities, to support the institution's strategic planning process, and to coordinate reporting to the University of Tennessee System and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides guidance and support to faculty in the development and implementation of student learning outcomes assessment plans, processes, and reports.
Provides guidance and support to staff in non-academic divisions in the development and implementation of non-instructional unit institutional effectiveness plans, processes, and reports.
Maintains institutional database of assessment and institutional effectiveness reports and results that comply with SACSCOC standards and expectations.
Works closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Decision Support (AVCIEDS) to ensure continuous compliance with SACSCOC standards.
Serves on the QEP Assessment Committee and contributes to the analysis of data related to the UTHSC QEP "Community Engaged Care".
Assists program faculty with specialized (programmatic) accreditation efforts including the preparation of accreditation reports and self-studies.
Develops and delivers accreditation related training to faculty and staff.
Works closely with the AVCIEDS to support UTHSC's strategic planning process.
Develops processes to collect appropriate data to measure progress towards strategic goals.
Works closely with the AVCIEDS to guide colleges in developing New Academic Program Proposals for UT System and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
Identifies and addresses accreditation issues which may arise during the development and implementation of new academic programs.
Develops and administers surveys (regular and ad hoc) and analyzes and reports results.
Designs and conducts research studies on various topics as requested by the Vice Chancellor for Academic, Faculty, and Student Affairs and the AVCIEDS.
