Under the direction of the Director of Recruiting and Undergraduate Enrollment, this role will perform the following duties:
Responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, programs, and events specific to populations impacting university and college enrollment goals (first generation, Pell eligible, underrepresented minority, small town and rural students).
Oversees the organization and management of the CFAES Ambassador Program, one of the premiere leadership groups in the college utilized for recruitment initiatives, alumni and donor events, and support of the Deans outreach and engagement programming. Recruits, hires, trains, and mentors undergraduate students to serve in this capacity and creates opportunities for their leadership development throughout the academic year.
Delivers informational sessions for prospective students and families that contribute to increased high-quality applications and enrollment for the college. Lead presenter for all campus visits hosted by CFAES and Undergraduate Admissions.
Collaborates with director of recruitment to research and develop innovative recruitment projects and programs and builds and strengthens relationships with key partners to assist in their implementation as the unit looks to expand outreach and engagement.
Manages the offices participation in multiple major events each year Farm Science Review, the National FFA Convention, and the Ohio FFA Convention including Blue & Gold to Scarlet & Gray, on-campus programming complimenting state convention; collaborates with academic units involved and develops innovative ways to engage with prospective students at each event.
Oversees responsibilities of a Prospective Student Services student coordinator who assists with all programming led by this role.
Develops content and maintains Prospective Student Services presence on social media accounts.
Presents at university committee meetings and local and national conferences. Serves as an engaged Academic Programs team member supporting all efforts of the unit.
Some evening and weekend hours required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and 4 years of relevant experience in college recruitment or related student personnel work.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in related field. 4-8 years of relevant experience. Experience in higher education outreach and knowledge of national admissions trends particularly for colleges of agriculture; leadership of student volunteers; comfortability presenting in-person and virtually to groups of 20-150+; program and event planning experience; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to function in a team-based environment and work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

The annual pay range for this job profile is $53,800.00 - 71,700.00. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
