We are seeking an EdD Student Success Advisorwho will have the purpose of facilitating EdD student success, retention, and graduation. This role will serve as the lead and primary contact for the EdD student professional development evaluation process, ensuring that students are provided with transparent and regular evaluation of professional development in relation to program learning outcomes, early warning for concerns regarding progress, and appropriate remediation plans. Working in close collaboration with the EdD Program Director, EdD faculty, and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, the EdD Student Success Advisor also connects EdD students to school and campus resources and develops programs, services, or opportunities that promote student success.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate EdD Student Professional Development Evaluation Process (50%)
Serve as primary point of contact for the Professional Development Evaluation process.
Ensure that professional development evaluations are completed for all students in accordance with stated components and timing.
Create and maintain the Professional Development Evaluation schedule.
Solicit evaluation and feedback information from faculty and students in accordance with the schedule.
Create and maintain records for the Professional Development Evaluation process, including those maintained as part of the students' educational records.
Schedule and facilitate meetings with students, program director, and faculty to discuss concerns and provide recommendations for remediation.
Individual Coaching and Case Management (20%)
Provide individual coaching and advising to students at high-risk for not completing the program. This includes students on/returning from LOA, students referred by faculty due to attendance/participation or other concerns, and students on remediation plans.
Meet with and advise students who request assistance with LOA, tuition/financial aid, or other concerns.
Tracking & Communication (15%)
Track student progress by running reports, analyzing student data, and communicating with students regarding Professional Development Evaluation results, probation, leaves of absence, registration, grades, and graduation.
Track retention, attrition, and completion (RAC) data for EdD students. Provide RAC updates to program director and faculty at least once a semester.
Identify and communicate potential patterns and system level barriers to student success to program director and faculty.
Collaboration & Programming (15%)
Work closely with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management to share information and manage student cases.
Collaborate with faculty, staff and students to develop programs, services or opportunities to support the success of returning students.
Work closely with key campus partners (SEAM, Financial Aid, Student Health and Wellness) to ensure that this role functions effectively in connecting students to university resources.

Technical qualifications or specialized certifications:
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media, website management, and other relevant technology.
Master's Degree is required, preferably in student affairs, higher education, counseling, or related fields.
Three years of relevant advising experience required.
Experience in leveraging passion and dedication for student success into measurable outcomes that improve the student experience.
Demonstrated success in improving student retention rates, graduation rates and student satisfaction.
At least three years' experience with higher education advising and retention experience.
