Directly reporting to the Executive Director of Gamecock EdQuarters, the Student Services Program Coordinator will perform complex duties and activities related to placements, training, and collaborative efforts on behalf of the College of Education – specifically working with certification programs within and possibly outside the College of Education. The ideal candidate has knowledge of Federal/State and USC policies related to education, procedures, rules, regulations and student support services. Must be able to fosters and maintain relationships within the University and community, as well as interact professionally with the public, faculty, staff and students. Should possess strong verbal and written communication and be able to prioritize tasks. Knowledge of the College of Education's programs and organization is preferred.
Job responsibilities include:
Liaison- Works closely with students, faculty and staff and school and administrators to secure and maintain placement of College of Education students at various clinical sites. This position will be specifically working with certification programs within and possibly outside the College of Education. Acts as a Liaison between Gamecock EdQuarters and the College of Education public school partners. Continually works with school principals, coaching teachers, and other school administrators to solve complex issues that arise during placements to ensure success of students. Works within organizations such as the Professional Development School Network, the Midlands Educator Effectiveness Roundtable and other partnerships to advance the mission of Gamecock EdQuarters.
Data Management- Coordinate data collection, analysis and reporting for clinicals within Gamecock EdQuarters. Coordinate the evaluation process for students, coaching teachers, and site supervisors. Collaborates with the Office of Accreditation and Assessment to create data collection tools to ensure accurate data collection. Works within Chalk and Wire to ensure data is entered with accuracy and fidelity.
Program Support- Provides administrative support as needed for constituents served by clinicals within Gamecock EdQs. Works to ensure smooth office operations for coaching teachers and site supervisors. Coordinates and updates the Gamecock EdQs Clinical Experiences Manual, as well as other forms and documents. Provides updated training for university supervisors as well as students at the start of each semester. Collaborates with program faculty each semester on placements and new initiatives. Facilitates mid-semester meetings. Will supervise six interns for a College of Education Program or Programs during each academic year.Contribute to the unit efforts by performing other duties as assigned or required.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience.
