Advertisement: The Residence Life department at St. Catherine University invites applications for an Residence Coordinator position. This is a regular, full-time position.
Grounded in centering the student experience and founded at an institution committed to social justice, the Residence Life department provides innovative and educational services that lifts voices and offers support, by fostering meaningful experiences for our students and families living on campus. This position supports living-learning environments for a diverse body of students in a residence hall complex of approximately 320 students with student staff supervision. This role serves as a support and advocate with students in their leadership and influence at St. Kate's and beyond. This live-on required position also serves in a duty capacity, helping students through learning moments and crisis.
Responsibilities Include:
Hire, train, supervise and support up to 18 Resident Assistants
Assist with multiple departmental projects such as RA selection and development, community engagement and food shelf support
Support students with accommodation needs to obtain individualized support as needed
Respond to and follow up with students involved in emergency and crisis situations
Execute strategies and initiatives to support, recruit, and retain students with marginalized identities
Serve as a formal student conduct hearing officer for the university
Aid in development, execution, and assessment in community development and student engagement model
Work collaboratively with staff from other departments to support and retain students
Collateral in Student Center & Activities work with student senate, clubs and orgs, orientation, and/or programming board advising
Support community engagement initiatives such as Citizen Katie and Late Night Breakfast
Support budget management for responsible areas

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
One (1) year of residence life experience required - student experience accepted
Experience in programming and relationship building with college age students
Availability for limited evening and weekend hours
Ability to live on campus
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an RA (or equivalent) or senior RA
Supervision of college age people
Experience in emergency response and crisis intervention
