This is a 75% position in College of Education and Human Development.
The CEHD Education Abroad Coordinator is responsible for the management of all CEHD learning abroad programs. This position works with the Learning Abroad Center and the College of Education and Human Development to foster a holistic global perspective in the College that includes management, delivery, advising, and promotion of education abroad programs. The position will foster collaboration between the College, its departments, and the Learning Abroad Center to develop and manage the most academically rigorous learning abroad experiences that are integrated into the students' academic programs.

Responsibilities:
Education Abroad Program Development and Administration (50%)
Develop and implement program budgets and other financial arrangements
Develop and implement program contracts and agreements
Service as CEHD liaison with LAC staff
Create and manage group flight travel arrangements
Assist with administration of program proposal and review process
Manage online and print resource content for program leaders (e.g., Concourse system)
Assist with the development of program emergency and crisis management plans for all CEHD study abroad programs
Ensure student housing and student services meet all university and LAC requirements related to student care, health, and safety
Assist in planning and developing CEHD specific education abroad policies and procedures
Assist program director on course approval process with academic units
Oversight of student enrollment; ensure all applications, confirmations, and program information is accurate
Develop marketing materials for all CEHD education abroad programs
Develop and implement recruitment strategies for CEHD education abroad programs
Academic Policy Administration (10%)
Serve as a back-up point of contact for Instructor-led Program Director for academic policy and changes from University to instructors and University stakeholders.
Provide support and back-up to Instructor-led Program Director in holding and sharing resources related to University policy that impact instructor-led programs.
Oversee the development of official correspondence, manuals, handbooks, etc
Student Services (30%)
Provide support and assistance with student services; meet and advice students through the education abroad selection and enrollment process
Advise a diverse group of students on general education abroad opportunities
Collaborate with student advisors in TRIO, CEHD Student Services and CEHD departments to develop strategies to integrate study abroad in different programs and tracks
Organize student recruitment (e.g., events, classroom visits, etc)
Professional Development and Service (10%)
Participate in other projects/tasks individually or as part of a team effort
Participate in meetings and activities, as appropriate or assigned
Promote, support, and participate in learning abroad and international education efforts with university units, appropriate professional associations, and organizations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least three (3) years of administrative experience in higher education or relevant non-profit organization (Minimum of two of these years in an education abroad office-with responsibilities for programming, advising, and administration)
Experience in at least one of the following: living/studying/working/interning/volunteering/host family stay in another cultural context and the ability to articulate the importance of the experience
Demonstrated commitment and experience in the field of international education
Demonstrated education abroad program management, recruitment and implementation experience
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and access
Demonstrated intercultural, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to work well with diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and administrators
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple demands
Strong leadership and management skills, including budget management
Knowledge of theory and practice in areas such as student development, cultural adjustment, identity development, experiential learning, and intercultural communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience administering short term learning abroad programs
Editing and editorial experience
Experience with communication technologies ( e.g. word processing, databases, and email)
