Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Programs, the Student Center Program Advisor has a dual role managing Campus Tickets (an online ticketing platform) and advising 3 student programming committees within the Student Center Program Council (SCPC) who coordinate cultural, social, and recreational activities for the GT community.
This position oversees the planning and execution of extra-curricular activities for students and other campus constituents by managing an operation in the Student Center and advising student leaders planning large-scale student programs. Student leadership development is a key component of the position.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: students, staff, faculty, other Program Advisors, vendors, and other staff in Student & Campus Event Centers

Advise assigned committees, to include: leadership development of students, event and budget management. May attend committee meetings and function
Preferable experience in a college/university, private sector or not for profit programming role; experience planning and executing events on a college campus, working in a diverse environment in which student development is a priority.
Ability to generate and articulate ideas about student development, student staff supervision, and volunteer recruitment and engagement; strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills. Ability to use office related computer applications, communicate effectively, and build relationships. Knowledge and application of student development theory is required. Experience working in a diverse environment in which student development is a priority.
