Multicultural & International Student Support & Engagement (MISSE) at the University of Iowa is seeking a coordinator to support student academic, identity, and leadership development. The coordinator will support these functions by designing, implementing, and evaluating specialized programs and activities for students and the University community. The coordinator will also collaborate with other UI departments in coordinating University-wide multicultural programs and activities.
This position is eligible for a combination of on-campus and remote work. Remote work must be performed at a location within the state of Iowa and comply with the remote work program and related policies.

The Division of Student Life includes 15 departments that span from Recreation Services to the Office of Leadership, Service and Civic Engagement and everything in between. Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Reasonable (typically 6 months - 1 year) experience working in higher education in advising, developing, coordinating, and evaluating student life and campus activities programming with progressive experience in diversity and inclusion work
Demonstrated commitment to social justice, inclusion, and equity and experience with working with domestic students of color, international students, and other historically underrepresented students
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with standard office computer applications.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Desirable Qualifications:
Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Student Development, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Reasonable (typically 1-3 years) experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of multicultural programs and activities
Reasonable (typically 1-3 years) experience in negotiation of contractual agreements in the areas of university cultural, recreational, entertainment, and service-oriented programming
Reasonable (typically 1-3 years) experience in assessing and evaluating programs and in conducting quantitative and qualitative research
Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and regulations
