The CarolinaCrED Program Coordinator position is responsible for a range activities that support coordinated action and planning across the CarolinaCrED program staff.
Job responsibilities include:
Serves as the student services coordinator for all aspects of CarolinaCrED. This includes: providing and communicating application instructions to all CrED Core students in flat rate courses or customized degree program cohorts (including fee waivers); working with the Graduate School to set up degree program applications as needed; monitoring university admission status; communicating course scheduling needs and ensure contract courses are viewable on the university schedule. Will serve as the initial point of contact for students in flat rate contract course cohorts or customized degree program cohorts. Will communicate textbook information to students and/or district contacts. Will advise students on completing USC processes and registering students for appropriate contract courses in USC's Banner system and brainstorm with students to solve any registration issues. Will communicate with program coordinators within various degree programs to assist with course scheduling needs.
Serves in the applicant support role for all CarolinaCAP and CarolinaCAP Residency applicants. This includes: Assisting in monitoring the CarolinaCAP applicant email account, upload official transcripts to the CarolinaCAP platform, determine each applicant's eligibility for CarolinaCAP, and email the applicant an evaluation letter; Providing CarolinaCAP, SC Department of Education, and USC application instruction sessions for groups as needed; Creating application instructions tailored to specific applicant groups; Uploading Praxis II score reports to the CarolinaCAP platform on a weekly basis; and Fielding questions from CarolinaCAP applicants by email and phone.
Provides consultation and support to the CarolinaCAP special education pathway.
Assists with the marketing of the mCrED platform and all CrED offerings among schools and districts in SC to promote personalized, professional learning across the state.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or higher in education or a related field, and at least three years of work experience.
