The University of Iowa College of Nursing is currently recruiting an academic year (9 month), 75 – 100% effort, faculty position for our graduate programs, specifically the health systems, administration, and leadership programs. Appointment for this position may beclinical or instructionaltrack. Faculty members provide teaching in classes and mentoring during leadership practicums and final projects. This highlights the need for a candidate with a strong leadership background and foundational health systems knowledge to teach at the Masters’s or Doctoral level. Responsibilities will consist of teaching, supervising, and mentoring students, or other course-related activities during the academic year (fall and spring semesters).

Earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field from an accredited school
Required Qualifications include:
Experience as a health systems leader or administrator.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated by the ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors to provide excellent customer service and maintain working relationships.
Availability to start August 2023.
Preferred Qualifications include:
Knowledge of healthcare, finance, economics, and policy
Established record of leading across systems and mentoring others
Experience teaching, evaluating, and revising curriculum
Selected candidate must complete the State of Iowa Registered Nurse licensure process upon appointment if RN, if applicable.
