Annual Salary: $46,500 - $48,425 based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

HOURS: Generally, Mon - Friday: 8 am. to 4:30 p.m. with flexibility to provide evening and weekend coverage as required. Average hours per week: 37.5

Position is contracted for a specified limited term contingent upon receipt of grant funds or scope and satisfactory performance. Person employed in such capacity shall be subject to review and shall have no claim to continued employment beyond the specific term established for that position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide academic advising, career and program related support services to 100 assigned students;
Promote the TRIO program and actively engage with students to maintain the required minimum census;
Motivate student participation and goal attainment;
Gather and analyze student performance data, to develop service plans that meet project goals and the needs of the students;
Assign participants to SSS tutors, supplemental instruction and mentors;
Facilitate Student Development (SD) courses and TRIO related Success Seminars as needed for program participants;
Create individualized TRIO Support Services Plans (TSSP);
Monitor the progress of all TRIO students;
Interact with campus and community as needed to achieve grant goals;
Assist with delivering financial literacy training to students, monitor financial aid packaging, monitor academic progress, and identify scholarship opportunities to minimize student loan debt;
Coordinate enrichment activities for program participants;
Maintain student files and all required documentation and data needed for grant compliance;
Develop, maintain and monitor TRIO-SSS social media platforms;
Attend meetings as requested by the Director of TRIO;
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of TRIO SSS.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Education Administration, Student Personnel, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related fields. Master’s degree preferred; Minimum two years’ work experience in higher education delivering advising, career and support services to disadvantaged and underrepresented students; Community College experience preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with financial aid, admissions, graduation, and transfer requirements;
Current knowledge related to academic advising, transfer planning, enrollment process, and career decision making;
Demonstrated ability to work at all levels across the institution including with faculty;
Ability to develop community partnerships to provide additional resources to students; and,
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required.
