Job Description:
Provide comprehensive financial aid and information services to students, staff, faculty, the community, and departments of government agencies. Complete numerous functions related to processing of financial aid for students. Responsibilities include but, not limited to:
- Reviewing Post-Secondary Grant Applications to ensure accuracy and eligibility.
- Review and process reports, transcripts and escalate errors to Information Technology Services.
- Provide support functions to Financial Aid and Student Services Suite
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of business software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access sufficient to enter data, run reports, format correspondence and presentation/training materials.
- Customer service skills sufficient to respond to requests with courtesy and respect.
- Ability to communicate sufficient to interview students and accurately assess their financial needs and train staff.
- Math skills sufficient to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage calculations.
- Ability to organize and maintain records, materials, and files.

About Minneapolis Community & Technical College
Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. MCTC enrolls nearly 15,000 credit students annually and is an active partner in initiatives designed to strengthen the social, economic and cultural vitality of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Created in 1996, under the umbrella of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system, MCTC is the result of the merger of two institutions: a technical college with a long history of vocational education dating back to 1914 and an open-enrollment community college established in 1965. Currently, the spacious campus covers 21.6 acres of land and recent expansions include a new state-of-the-art Science Center, culinary kitchen and dining hall and outdoor plaza.
