The Director of Admissions provides management, supervision, leadership, and direction for all functions related to General Admissions, Special Admissions (PSEO, International, etc), Recruitment, Outreach, the Information Center, and the Testing Center. The Director serves as a key leader of the institutions Strategic Enrollment Management Council, with the responsibility for developing the college strategic recruitment plan and is accountable for the development and achievement of college goals related to recruitment, admissions and enrollment. Responsibilities also include budget, data analysis, database management for testing needs, and CRM database management. The position is responsible for the administration and operation of all aspects of the testing programs within the Testing Center, including course placement testing and exam proctoring (GED, CLEP, general exams, and other programs). The Director works collaboratively with other student service departments, marketing, academic affairs, and administration to ensure seamless delivery of services and expand access to education.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
3 years' progressive leadership and supervisory experience
3 years' experience in sales, recruitment and/or outreach
3 years' higher education experience
3 years' of working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years' progressive leadership and supervisory experience
Master's Degree
Experience working with enrollment management and recruitment plans
Knowledge of testing and assessment functions, policies, procedures, and processes
Exceptional human relations, oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Ability to strategically set goals, strategies, measures, and key performance indicators, and to assess the impacts with data
Experience managing projects, policy implementation, and database implementation
Ability to work collaboratively and have effective working relationships with academic and student affairs
