Job Summary
The Admissions Department of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Director of Admissions.
Job Duties:
The primary responsibilities include: • Inspire a commitment among the college community to increasing the college’s visibility, reputation, and responsiveness within the service area. • Coordinate the college’s strategic enrollment management function and associated processes such as strategies for recruitment, the admissions process and setting enrollment goals in partnership with academic affairs and other student affairs areas. • Direct the planning and coordination of recruitment activities including high school visits, college fairs, and community outreach. • Analyze enrollment data and work with the Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness to create reports that communicate the college’s effectiveness in its enrollment management efforts. • Work with the college’s marketing department to develop materials for recruitment. • Ensure accuracy and efficiency of inquiry, application, communication, and F-1 student visa processes within the department. • Establish expectations for customer service and maximizing accessibility to the college. • Oversight of the new student orientation process, including data collection to monitor effectiveness and orientation for English Language Learners. • Supervise the Associate Director of Admissions for Operations and partner to establish customer service and processing standards. • Provide direct supervision for the Assistant Director for Orientation, Visits, and Events. Work together on strategies to bring prospective students and community members to campus. • Serve on college committees and appoint admission team members to serve on selective admissions committees. • Serve on the Student and Academic Leadership Team and the Student Affairs Leadership Team. • Work with faculty to showcase college programs at recruitment events. • Represent the college in community meetings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Education, Higher Education, Student Personnel Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field), and four years related experience, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred (Education, Higher Education, Student Personnel Services, Counseling Psychology, Sociology, Communications or related fields), and a minimum of five years related experience, or equivalent. Preferred candidates will have experience in college admissions/related enrollment services or sales. Required skills include excellent written and verbal communication, leading teams toward shared goals, planning, facilitation, program evaluation, creative problem solving, and collaboration. This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment that promotes inclusion and belonging for a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
