Siena College, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking applications for the Head Baseball Coach. The head coach will be responsible for the daily management and administration of all phases of the Division I baseball program in accordance with all NCAA, MAAC and College regulations.
Job Description
Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to planning and conducting practices; evaluation and recruitment of qualified student athletes; individual player skill development and team performance development; monitoring academic progress; coordinating services to the team with other department support areas; scheduling games and management of the program’s budget. The head coach will be responsible for a staff of assistants and will be expected to work cooperatively and closely with student services such as sports medicine, strength and conditioning and academic advising. Knowledge of and adherence to NCAA, conference and college rules and regulations are required.
Annual salary range: $55,380.00-$65,220.00* *The hiring salary above represent the College’s good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.
Job Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and three years of college coaching experience and/or playing experience required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required. Excellent knowledge of the techniques of the sport and excellent communication skills desired. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment. A background screening will be required.
